Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham acknowledged the impact of disappointment on his players following their Game 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets, emphasizing the need for resilience and focus.

Ham highlighted the challenge of maintaining composure in the face of adversity, urging his team to stay positive and engaged despite the mounting pressure.

With the Lakers now facing a daunting 0-3 deficit in the series, Ham stressed the importance of maintaining intensity and fighting through each possession in their quest to avoid elimination.

“I just think the disappointment, this team having the type of run they’ve had against our ball club, I think it’s a lot of disappointment,” Ham said. “We have to do a better job of staying focused and staying positive throughout it all.

“Because again you have those disappointment moments, those what we call disappointment lags that disappointment can spill over to two, three, four possessions. You see that someone makes a mistake, we drop our heads, we start jogging back instead of sprinting. But we have to fight through it all.

“It’s a hell of a team. They’re the defending champs for a reason. I’ve been saying this since day one. They push you to the limit in order to try to beat them. You got to be ready for that fight possession by possession.”

Despite strong performances from Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the Lakers’ struggles to contain the Nuggets’ depth and offensive firepower have been evident throughout the series.

As the Lakers regroup ahead of Game 4, they must find ways to overcome their disappointment and execute with precision against a formidable Nuggets team.
