In a late thriller in Milano, Armani stood tall and claimed a crucial victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv (87-83) to boost its chances to advance to the playoffs.

The game was close from start to finish and featured six lead changes in the fourth quarter alone.

The Israelis were in front by just one with four and a half minutes to go (72-73), yet the Italians went on a 10-0 run to take control and seal the deal (82-73).

Mike James led the way for the winners, with 19 points and five assists, as three more players scored in double figures.

Scottie Wilbekin had a game-high 20 points (5/9 from beyond the arc) for the losing squad, with Michael Roll adding 16, Johnny O’Bryant 14 and Tarik Black 11 points, respectively.

Armani Milano improved to 12-11 and climbed to the sixth place, whereas Maccabi Tel-Aviv dropped to 10-13 and their qualification to the playoffs is in serious jeopardy.
