Enes Kanter took to Twitter and responded to the official statement of the president of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Hedo Turkoglu.

Kanter informed the Knicks that he will not travel with the team to London for the 2019 NBA London Game, as he is afraid of his life, due to his ongoing dispute with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Turkoglu addressed the situation via an official statement and said
Kanter’s remarks are “irrational and distort the truth”, while the Knicks center cannot travel to London due to “passport and visa issues”.

For his part, Kanter responded and posted a photo on Twitter that proves he can travel to London, but he will not go, due to safety reasons.

Kanter also called Turkoglu “delusional or Erdogan’s lap dog”.
