Monaco and ASVEL Villeurbanne advanced to the Top 16

Monaco and Villeurbanne defeated Ratiopharm Ulm and Turk Telekom, respectively, and secured their ticket to the Top 16.

Monaco came back from a double-digit deficit in the first quarter (16-27) and edged Ratiopharm Ulm at home (84-81), thanks to a 26-16 run in the fourth quarter.

Elmedin Kikanovic and Yakuba Ouattara scored 22 points apiece for the winners, with Paul Lacombe adding 21.

On the other hand, Javonte Green and Isaac Fotu had 18 and 15 points, respectively, for the losing squad.

Monaco improved to 6-2 and qualified to the Top 16, whereas Ulm dropped to 3-5.

Although they were down by nine at the end of the first quarter (25-16), ASVEL Villeurbanne went on a 13-29 run in the second quarter and never looked back, as they beat Turk Telekom on the road (78-83).

Miro Bilan led the winners with 23 points, as four more players scored in double figures. On the other hand, Reggie Redding had 19 points for the losing squad.

Villeurbanne claimed its sixth win in eight games (6-2), whereas Turk Telekom dropped to 3-5.

In the other match, Andorra defeated Crvena Zvezda (91-80) and overcame the Serbians in the standings.

The Spaniards are now 5-3 after eight games, with Zvezda suffering its fourth defeat (4-4).
