Olympiacos filed an official complaint to the Disciplinary Judge of the EuroLeague

Olympiacos announced today they have filed an official complaint to the Disciplinary Judge regarding Dimitris Giannakopoulos’ accusations.

Panathinaikos owner accused the “Reds” of attempting to bribe two of the referees of the match between the two teams on Friday night.

Olympiacos immediately denied these accusations, while the Union of EuroLeague Basketball referees also released a statement and confronted Dimitris Giannakopoulos.

The decision of the Disciplinary Judge is expected within the next few days or weeks.

Here is the official announcement of Olympiacos:

“OLYMPIACOS BC filed an official complaint to the Euroleague’s Disciplinary Judge in regards to the official statement made by PANATHINAIKOS BC and Dimitris Giannakopoulos slandering Olympiacos with the claim that the Club had attempted to offer a monetary bribe to the referees of the Panathinaikos–Olympiacos game for the 6th round of the Euroleague, Mr. Paternico and Mr. Zamojski.”
