Three teams keep their undefeated streak alive in Sunday’s FIBA World Cup qualifying action

France, Germany and Greece remain unbeaten after four games in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers as eight games were played on Sunday with eight more to come throughout Monday.

In Group E, France, who needed a buzzer-beater from Boris Diaw to see-off Russia on Friday, had an easier time, 72 hours later as 23 points from Moustapha Fall helped Les Bleus to a comfortable 64-49 win over Belgium.

Germany defeated a stubborn Georgia side 87-77 in their Group G clash in Tbilisi. ALBA Berlin guard Joshiko Saibou led the Germans with 15 points.

And Greece had perhaps the stiffest of tests on the night, but they overcame Great Britain 75-70 in their Group H clash in Crete.

With the game tied at 67-67 with under a minute left, Ioannis Bourousis struck inside, then followed it up with a three-point play to seal a hard-fought win.

Bourousis led the winners with 15 points, cancelling out Dan Clark’s 16-point, 11-rebound double-double for GB.

Spain, Lithuania and Italy have the opportunity to stretch their winning run on Monday when they face Montenegro, Kosovo and Romania, respectively.
