Germany beat Serbia in classic European derby

Germany were victorious over Serbia on the road (81-88) and ended the first round of the World Cup qualifiers undefeated.

For the winners (6-0), Dennis Schroeder had 21 points, four rebounds and six assists, whereas Boban Marjanovic scored 22 points and grabbed 11 boards for the Serbians (4-2).

France and Greece prevailed over Russia (78-84) and Estonia (56-78), respectively, and earned their sixth victory in the first round of the qualifiers. On the other hand, Great Britain couldn’t beat Israel at home (59-67) and, consequently, they were eliminated.
