Vladimir Jankovic joins Andorra

Morabanc Andorra la Vella added size and experience at the small forward spot by inking Vladimir Jankovic, the club announced Thursday.

Jankovic (2,02 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Aris Thessaloniki, where he averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 28 Greek League games last season.

He started the 2016-17 season with Valencia Basket, averaging seven points in two 7DAYS EuroCup games before being sent on loan to Aris. Jankovic joined Valencia from Panathinaikos Athens, where he averaged 5.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 66 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games during the previous three seasons, almost half of those as a starter.

Jankovic started full-time and averaged 8.3 points for the Greens as they reached the EuroLeague playoffs in the 2014-15 season. He has also played parts of two previous EuroCup seasons with his former Greek club, Panionios, including his debut at age 17 in December of 2007.

He has also played for Mega Hypo leasing of Serbia. He helped Panathinaikos win a Greek League title in 2014 and three consecutive Greek Cup crowns from 2014 to 2016. Jankovic has also been a member of the Greek national team and was very successful in youth competition, winning respective gold medals at the 2008 U18 European Championships and the 2009 U20 European Championships. He also collected silver medals at the 2009 U19 World Cup and the 2010 U20 European Championships.
