Leeds Force claimed one of their biggest wins in the BBL after beating Newcastle Eagles for the first time, on Friday.

Anton Grady led the Raiders with 22 points and 14 rebounds as they extended their winning streak to six games.

Another impressive result came on Friday as Bristol Flyers’ clinical shooting display helped record a convincing 66-98 win on the road against London Lions.

The Flyers put up 38 points in the third period with Aaron Cosby and Hameed Ali sharing 12 three-pointers between them in the victory.

“We wanted to respond after last weekend as that loss stopped our momentum,” said Flyers coach Andreas Kapoulas.

“The third quarter we shot the lights out and it was a good team effort all around.

“We defended very well and did a great job.”

Worcester Wolves made it three on the bounce with a 103-84 success over Surrey Scorchers as Danny Huffor poured in 27 points in Friday’s win.

Also, DBL Sheffield Sharks returned to winning ways after a comfortable 87-64 win at home to Manchester Giants, who were then beaten 54-81 at home to the league leaders, Leicester Riders.

Cheshire Phoenix advanced to the Semi-Finals of the BBL Trophy after beating Bristol Flyers 90-71 behind 29 points and 10 rebounds from Earl Brown.

Meanwhile, Glasgow Rocks improved to 12-4 with a 78-70 victory over London Lions with Neil Watson netting 28 points.
