Miami Heat star Giannis Antetokounmpo has spoken positively about teammate Davion Mitchell, pointing to the guard’s speed, playing style and ability to maintain a fast offensive pace.
Antetokounmpo explained that Mitchell plays an important role in Miami’s offense, particularly when it comes to pushing the ball and keeping the team moving quickly.
“He’s incredible, and he’s tough to keep up with. He goes so fast; you see the difference when Ryan comes into the game and Davion is out; our pace kind of slows down.
“Obviously Ryan is young, and it’s his first year in the league, but we have to keep on that pace; like, that pace is dangerous. People don’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace.
“I didn’t want to come in this gym and play with that pace … I love playing with him (Davion) … whenever I don’t touch the ball … he’s always going to check in with me and make sure I get a touch …”
