Olimpija lands Slokar

ImageUnion Olimpija signed Slovenian international Uros Slokar for the upcoming season as it was officially announced by the club just one day after the end of the Eurobasket.

26-year old Slokar, a Ljubljana native, returns to his home-town after six seasons abroad. He started his career with Jezica Ljubljana in 1999. From 2000 to 2003 he competed with Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana before moving to Treviso and Benetton for the next three seasons.

 Slokar then tried his luck in the NBA and the Toronto Raptors for one season. In 2007 he returned to Europe for Triumph Lyubertsy and last season he stood for Fortitudo Bologna in competition, averaging  4.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in three Eurocup apearances.
