The Lithuanian national team has officially locked in its 12-man roster for FIBA EuroBasket 2025, with long-time national team leader and NBA veteran Jonas Valanciunas once again at the heart of the lineup.

Head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis finalized his selections after the squad wrapped up its preparations, closing with a win over Iceland in their final friendly before heading to Tampere, Finland, where they will begin their EuroBasket journey.

Lithuania’s EuroBasket 2025 roster:

Laurynas Birutis, Marek Blazevic, Rokas Giedraitis, Rokas Jokubaitis, Margiris Normantas, Gytis Radzevicius, Ignas Sargiunas, Tadas Sedekerskis, Deividas Sirvydis, Azuolas Tubelis, Jonas Valanciunas, Arnas Velicka.

The team has shown strong form in the build-up, finishing the summer with a 6–1 record in friendly games. Their only setback came in a tight, three-point loss to Türkiye.

Apart from that slip, Lithuania earned wins against Estonia, Türkiye, Georgia, Latvia, Slovenia, and finally Iceland, proving their ability to handle different styles of play.

While the roster isn’t at full strength – Domantas Sabonis will not be joining the squad – the Baltic side can still rely on Valanciunas as a dominant presence in the paint.

Younger players such as Rokas Jokubaitis and Tadas Sedekerskis will also be expected to step up, giving Lithuania a balanced mix of experience and fresh energy.

EuroBasket 2025 will mark Lithuania’s 14th consecutive appearance in the tournament.

The basketball-obsessed nation has already lifted the continental trophy three times in its history, and now the question is whether they can mount another deep run – perhaps even chase a fourth title.

Lithuania will compete in Group B, hosted in Tampere, alongside Finland, Germany, Sweden, Montenegro, and Great Britain.

Their campaign begins on August 27 at 12:30 CET against Great Britain, as they look to set the tone for another memorable summer.
