Jonas Valanciunas delivered an impressive performance in his Zalgiris Kaunas debut, helping the Lithuanian champions secure a 97-85 preseason win over Rigas Zelli.
The 34-year-old center needed just 19 minutes to make his presence felt, finishing with 20 points and nine rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.
Valanciunas shot 7-of-10 from two-point range and converted six of his seven free throws.
Several Zalgiris players also reached double figures. Sterling Brown recorded 14 points, while Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, Marius Grigonis and Carsen Edwards each added 13.
Martynas Varnas led Rigas Zelli with 17 points, but his effort was not enough to prevent Zalgiris from earning the preseason victory.
