Zalgiris brings back Ignas Brazdeikis

Ignas Brazdeikis, who left Zalgiris for Olympiacos early last season, has returned to Kaunas.

Zalgiris announced the signing of Brazdeikis to a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old Lithuanian forward played 27 games for Olympiacos in the EuroLeague, averaging 2 points and 1.7 rebounds in nearly 11 minutes per game.

He helped Olympiacos win the Greek Basketball Cup but fell short in the league final against Panathinaikos.

Brazdeikis first joined Zalgiris for the 2022–2023 season and was a key player, averaging 11.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in the EuroLeague.

He played a significant role in helping Zalgiris reach the EuroLeague playoffs that season.

Born in Kaunas and raised in Canada, Brazdeikis began his professional career in the NBA.

He debuted with the New York Knicks in the 2019–2020 season and continued with the team in the 2020–2021 season.

Brazdeikis later played for the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic, spending the 2021–2022 season with the Magic.
