Daryl Morey admits Buddy Hield’s fit with Sixers was less good than expected

Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey has acknowledged that the fit with free agent Buddy Hield was not as seamless as anticipated.

During the end-of-season press conference, Morey revealed that Hield’s ability to find open shots was hindered, particularly when Joel Embiid returned to the lineup, as reported by Kyle Neubeck.

Despite the challenges, Morey emphasized that the evaluation of the full roster was at fault rather than solely attributing the issue to Hield’s performance.

Hield, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, could still potentially return to the Sixers if both parties agree on terms.

Throughout the season, Hield averaged 12.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3 assists in 25.8 minutes per game for the 76ers.
