Suns defeat Timberwolves in low-scoring affair

In a defensive battle, the Phoenix Suns (46-31) emerged victorious with a 97-87 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves (53-24), thanks to a strong start that saw them race to a commanding 15-0 lead at the outset.

Grayson Allen led the Suns’ offensive charge with 23 points, supported by a solid performance from Kevin Durant, who contributed 22 points to the victory.

Devin Booker showcased his playmaking skills with 13 points and 13 assists, while Bradley Beal chipped in with 14 points, including a crucial dunk to cap off the Suns’ early scoring run.

Jusuf Nurkic’s presence was felt on both ends of the floor, as he battled through a calf injury to contribute 11 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists.

Despite Anthony Edwards’ efforts for the Timberwolves, who finished with 17 points, Minnesota struggled to find offensive rhythm against the Suns’ stout defense, shooting just 38% from the field.

With the win, Phoenix maintained its grip on the No. 6 spot in the competitive Western Conference standings, while Minnesota, tied with Denver for the top spot, aims to bounce back in the remaining games of the season.
