Green and VanVleet combine for 75 points as Rockets thump Jazz

Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet led the charge as the Houston Rockets (35-35) cruised to a commanding 147-119 victory over the Utah Jazz (29-42) on Saturday night.

Green erupted for 41 points, while VanVleet dazzled from beyond the arc, draining a remarkable 10 three-pointers en route to a season-high 34 points.

Houston’s win streak now stands at eight games, propelling them within striking distance of the coveted play-in spot in the competitive Western Conference.

Despite a brief altercation resulting in ejections for Jabari Smith Jr. and Kris Dunn early in the second quarter, the Rockets remained focused and continued to dictate the tempo of the game with their high-octane offense.

The Rockets’ supporting cast also made significant contributions, with Jeff Green (21 points) and Dillon Brooks (12 points) providing valuable scoring punch to complement the team’s offensive stars.

Despite a spirited effort from the Jazz, led by John Collins (25 points) and Collin Sexton (20 points, 8 assists), Utah struggled to contain Houston’s offensive juggernaut and suffered their fifth straight loss. Brice Sensabaugh added 16 points off the bench.
