Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports that forward Miles Bridges, who missed the entirety of last season due to a felony domestic violence charge, maintains a close relationship with his college coach, Tom Izzo of Michigan State.
Izzo believes that Bridges has found a supportive environment with the Hornets and expresses optimism about Bridges potentially re-signing with the team.
“I think it would be good for him,” Izzo commented. “That’s what he is – he’s a pretty loyal guy, and I don’t think he’s just chasing the money. He’s had a chance to leave already probably, you know?
“And I talk to him about it. It’s almost refreshing. He’s kind of an old school throwback, young school guy. And if he just gets everything else straightened out, which he will, I think it’s going to be special.”
