Following the Phoenix Suns’ recent triumph over the Atlanta Hawks, head coach Frank Vogel commended Bradley Beal’s selfless contributions to the team’s success in his adjusted role.
Since joining the Suns from the Washington Wizards, Beal has embraced a new role alongside stars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, prioritizing team success over individual statistics.
Vogel highlighted Beal’s willingness to sacrifice personal scoring opportunities, instead focusing on facilitating for his teammates and contributing defensively.
“Brad’s really sacrificing for the betterment of this team,” Vogel said postgame. “I think it’s important pointing out. Him playing point guard, him touching the paint as much as he’s touching the paint.
“He only shot seven shots tonight and he was arguably our most dominant offensive player. Creating things for others. Got [Devin Booker] a bunch of threes, got [Kevin Durant] a bunch of threes, got our role players a bunch of threes. Nine assists total.
“He’s a plus-seventeen overall. And he guarded Dejounte Murray primarily. He did it back-to-back. He did [Tyrese] Maxey last night, Dejounte tonight. Can’t speak highly enough about the job that Bradley Beal’s right now.”
This season Beal averaging 18.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 33.1 minutes per game.
