A former Minnesota Timberwolves employee, Somak Sarkar, was fired and charged with felony third-degree burglary for allegedly stealing internal files, including sensitive NBA information, from an executive.
Surveillance footage showed Sarkar entering the executive’s office without permission. He was terminated immediately, and police later found thousands of downloaded files at his home.
Sarkar claimed he intended to use the files for work but forgot to return them. He had been transferred due to poor performance.
