As anticipation builds for the future of LeBron James’ eldest son, Bronny James, the latest ESPN NBA mock draft for 2025 has stirred conversation by projecting Bronny as the No. 39 pick next year, excluding him from the 2024 Draft’s top 60 picks.
LeBron, known for his vocal support of his son’s basketball journey, took to X on Monday to address the speculation surrounding Bronny’s NBA prospects, emphasizing the importance of allowing him to enjoy his college basketball experience and letting his work ethic speak for itself.
In a now-deleted tweet, LeBron urged observers to focus on Bronny’s growth and development rather than fixating on mock draft projections, asserting that hard work and dedication will ultimately define his son’s path in the sport.
“Can yall please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball. The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do. If y’all don’t know he doesn’t care what a mock draft says, he just WORKS! Earned Not Given!” the Lakers superstar tweeted.
Despite Bronny’s absence from the 2024 mock draft radar, he could still declare this summer and attempt to enter the league for the 2024-25 season.
Bronny, currently navigating his freshman season with USC, is contributing 5.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in an average of 20.2 minutes of play.
