Trent Jr. and Quickley guide Raptors to victory over Nets

Gary Trent Jr. and Immanuel Quickley led the Toronto Raptors (20-36) to a resounding 121-93 triumph over the Brooklyn Nets (21-34), spoiling interim coach Kevin Ollie’s debut.

Trent Jr. scored game-high 25 points, while Quickley contributed 24 points, propelling the Raptors to a much-needed victory and snapping their three-game home losing streak.

All-Star forward Scottie Barnes chipped in with a solid performance, tallying 18 points and 12 rebounds, while RJ Barrett’s all-around play, including 12 points and seven assists, played a crucial role in Toronto’s success.

Despite a spirited effort from Brooklyn’s Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas, who combined for 40 points, the Nets struggled to find their rhythm under Ollie’s leadership, committing a season-high 20 turnovers.

Former Raptors guard Dennis Schroder endured a tough night, managing just four points off the bench, while Ben Simmons contributed a mere two points in 21 minutes of play.
