Kevin Durant guides Suns to victory over Pistons

Kevin Durant propelled the Phoenix Suns (32-22) to a decisive 116-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons (8-46) on Wednesday night.

Despite Devin Booker’s early ejection just 5:24 into the game, Durant led the charge with 25 points, steering the Suns to a convincing win. Booker’s ejection came amidst a flurry of technical fouls and contentious calls.

Suns coach Frank Vogel also found himself at odds with the officiating, receiving a technical for disputing Booker’s ejection, further adding to the game’s tension.

Despite the challenges, Phoenix rallied together, with contributions from Saben Lee and Eric Gordon, who scored 16 and 13 points respectively, stepping up in Booker’s absence.

Detroit’s newcomer Simone Fontecchio led the Pistons’ efforts with 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to thwart the Suns’ dominant performance.

The Suns capitalized on their momentum, surging ahead with a commanding lead in the first half and extending it to as much as 35 points during the game.
