James, Russell, Davis propel Lakers to win over Pistons

LeBron James, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Davis led the Los Angeles Lakers (29-26) to a convincing 125-111 win against the Detroit Pistons (8-45) on Tuesday night.

James finished the game with 25 points and eight assists, while Russell contributed 21 points, including four crucial 3-pointers. Davis dominated the paint with 20 points and 14 rebounds, anchoring the Lakers’ defense with six blocked shots.

The Lakers’ new starting lineup, featuring Rui Hachimura (15 points) and Austin Reaves (15 points), continued to impress offensively, combining for 96 points.

Spencer Dinwiddie made his debut for the Lakers, providing valuable contributions with six points and seven assists.

Despite a resilient effort from the Pistons, led by Ausar Thompson and James Wiseman, who scored 19 and 18 points respectively, Detroit couldn’t overcome the Lakers’ early dominance.

Cade Cunningham recorded 12 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in favor of Detroit.

Although Detroit attempted a late comeback, trimming the lead to 12 points in the fourth quarter, the Lakers held firm to secure their fifth win in six games.
