Former Brooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie stirred speculation as he made a high-profile appearance at the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Rumors have been swirling that Dinwiddie, recently waived by the Toronto Raptors after being traded at the deadline, is on the verge of joining the Lakers, and his attendance at the game alongside Lakers’ general manager Rob Pelinka only fueled further speculation.

The point guard was traded to the Raptors at the trade deadline in a deal that sent Dennis Schroder and Thaddeus Young to the Raptors. However, Dinwiddie was subsequently waived by Toronto, making him a free agent.

In the current NBA season, Dinwiddie is averaging 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6 assists per game, demonstrating his ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor.

While no official announcement has been made regarding Dinwiddie’s potential signing with the Lakers, his presence at the game has intensified speculation about his imminent arrival in Los Angeles.
