Bennedict Mathurin guides Pacers to victory over Grizzlies

Bennedict Mathurin’s standout 24-point performance off the bench propelled the Indiana Pacers (27-20) to a 116-110 triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies (16-28).

Mathurin’s 24-point contribution, coupled with Jalen Smith’s clutch 3-pointer late in the game, secured the Pacers’ third consecutive home win.

The game remained fiercely contested, tied at 107, until Smith emerged as a pivotal figure by sinking a go-ahead 3-pointer with 3:10 remaining. Smith’s overall performance included 19 points and 10 rebounds, ensuring the Pacers didn’t relinquish their lead.

The recently acquired Pascal Siakam added 19 points, contributing to Indiana’s well-rounded offensive display. Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith each chipped in with 16 points.

Despite missing key point guards, Tyrese Haliburton and T.J. McConnell, the Pacers demonstrated resilience. The Grizzlies were also without Luke Kennard due to left knee soreness, further testing their depth.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 25 points, followed by Vince Williams Jr. with 20 points, and GG Jackson contributing 18.
