Joel Embiid leads 76ers to victory over Hornets

Joel Embiid scored 33 points, extending his franchise-record streak of 30 or more to 20 games, leading the Philadelphia 76ers (28-13) to a 97-89 triumph over the Charlotte Hornets (9-31). The reigning NBA MVP, Embiid, also secured 10 rebounds.

Tobias Harris contributed 21 points, while Tyrese Maxey added 16 points and eight assists, helping the 76ers secure their fifth consecutive win.

Facing a Charlotte team without key centers Mark Williams and Nick Richards, Embiid exploited the size mismatch, forcing the Hornets to defend him with P.J. Washington and Nathan Mensah, leading to a dominant performance.

Despite missing LaMelo Ball due to ankle soreness, the Hornets received a strong effort from Miles Bridges (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Brandon Miller (23 points). Terry Rozier chipped in 19 points and nine assists.
