Los Angeles Clippers’ guard, James Harden, currently on a two-year deal, faces limitations in becoming extension-eligible due to NBA contract regulations requiring at least a three-season coverage. He cannot negotiate a new contract until after the NBA Finals.

Despite this, the NBA star voiced his contentment with the Clippers and expressed a desire to stay with the team beyond the current season.

Speaking on his experience with the Clippers, Harden stated, “I’m here, home. We have an opportunity. I want to be able to keep the core together for a few years, and I haven’t had those opportunities the last few years. So things are going well and I’m happy,” as reported by Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

As the Clippers aim to solidify their roster and maintain a competitive core, Harden’s commitment signals a positive outlook for the team’s future.

At 34 years old, Harden has been a valuable asset for the Clippers, contributing significantly with an average of 16.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game in the current season.
