According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, the Philadelphia 76ers’ initial encounter with James Harden since trading him to the Los Angeles Clippers last fall was relatively subdued.

However, the atmosphere for their rematch in Philadelphia on Wednesday is anticipated to be different. In the previous game, Harden focused on playmaking, contributing 12 points and distributing 14 assists as the Sixers secured a crucial road victory.

Although Harden didn’t address reporters post-game, his former teammates expressed satisfaction that he seems to have settled into a positive situation in Los Angeles.

“James is a hell of a player and I’ll always have a huge amount of respect for him,” Tobias Harris said. “Playing with him here, it’s good to see him playing in L.A., flourishing and playing his game and just ballin’ out.

“It’s all love and respect. He’s a hall-of-fame player, and for me it was an honor being here, playing with him.”
