Former NBA center DeMarcus Cousins, at 33, is embarking on a new basketball journey with the Taiwan Beer Leopards in the T1 League. Scheduled for his debut on January 20, Cousins signed a 10-day deal.

Cousins expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ll be taking my talents to Taiwan. I’ll be playing with the Taiwan Beer Leopards,” on Bully Ball.

He humorously added, “To exactly answer your question what a beer leopard is, I’m still in the process of researching and finding out exactly what that is. But when I find out, I’ll let you know.

“I’m excited to be playing ball. I love this game. I still got a lot left in the tank. This is just to help that urge a little bit and keep my competitive juices flowing. I’m excited for the opportunity, and I can’t wait to get out there.”

Cousins, with a robust NBA history, was last seen on the court during the 2021-22 season with the Denver Nuggets.

After his NBA stint, Cousins ventured into the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league in Puerto Rico, making significant contributions to the Guaynabo Mets in the previous season.

During this time, he showcased his versatility, maintaining impressive averages of 20.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, all achieved in a mere 25 minutes of gameplay.
