Veteran forward Derrick Favors has decided to play in the G League in a bid to secure a contract in the NBA, as reported by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Favors’ decision comes after a series of trades and subsequent waivers over the past year, which have led him to seek playing opportunities in the developmental league to make a return to the professional basketball scene.
During the 2022-23 season, Favors had a brief stint with the Atlanta Hawks on a 10-day deal; however, he did not receive any playing time.
