Kai Jones, the Charlotte Hornets’ forward, has sparked concerns about his mental state with a series of perplexing social media posts.

The 22-year-old former first-round draft pick, who posted modest averages of 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12 minutes per game last season, has been frequently referring to himself as the “GOAT” (Greatest of All Time) on his social media accounts.

These posts did not go unnoticed, as NBA veteran Terrance Ross took to Instagram to publicly question Jones’s mental well-being, asking, “Is he all there, mentally?” Jones’s response, “I’m the greatest of all time, check my highlights,” led Ross to express further concern.

In light of this controversy, the Hornets have decided to distance themselves from Jones, placing him on indefinite leave from the team.

Subsequently, Jones has requested a trade, adding another layer of uncertainty to his NBA career.
