After an eight-year stint in the NBA, Frank Kaminsky shifted to Europe, joining Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. Ahead of his EuroLeague debut, Kaminsky shared insights into his transition.

Discussing with the media before the journey to Israel for a matchup against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, he expressed his appreciation for the EuroLeague concept, emphasizing the higher value assigned to each game compared to the NBA.

“Especially in the EuroLeague, every game matters. The preparation, how important everything is, every little detail. The big thing is you play in tough environments, the arenas are crazy, the fans are wild,” Kaminsky said.

“It will be a fun experience. I haven’t played on the road yet in that environment, so I’m really excited about it.”

Adapting to a more physical style of basketball in Europe, Kaminsky acknowledged the shift but revealed his preference for it over the style prevalent in the NBA.

“I’m not really surprised [with the physicality], but I like it because I can get away with a lot more,” Kaminsky explained. “In the NBA, it’s a lot of athletic finesse, you can’t get away with as much contact. Here, you can hit people and kind of push people around, I like that.”
