In a bid to address concerns over star players being rested during nationally televised games, the NBA’s Competition Committee has recommended stricter guidelines, per NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The league’s Board of Governors is set to vote on these measures, aiming to curb the practice of resting multiple stars in the same games.

The proposed rules grant the NBA the authority to impose more substantial financial fines on teams found in violation of the resting regulations.

Reportedly, the fines could be as follows: $100,000 for a first violation, $250,000 for a second violation, and a whopping $1 million increase in penalties for each subsequent violation.
