The NBA’s new media rights deals may surpass $7 billion per season, nearly a 170 percent increase from the current $2.6 billion deals with ESPN and TNT. Amazon is expected to pay around $1.8 billion per season, while negotiations between TNT and NBC continue.
ESPN’s deal remains at $2.6 billion per year. Initially aiming for $7-8 billion per year, the NBA seems close to reaching its goal.
