A recently surfaced audio recording from a 2012 Team USA practice session has unveiled an exchange between two basketball icons: Russell Westbrook and Kobe Bryant.
The leaked audio provides an intriguing behind-the-scenes look at the competitive spirit that drove the star-studded Team USA during their preparation for the London Olympic Games.
As the national team divided into White and Blue squads for an exhibition game, Westbrook found himself matched up against the Black Mamba himself.
In the audio clip, Westbrook can be heard confidently trash talking after sinking a pull-up shot over Bryant, saying, “You can’t do nothing about that one.”
Bryant, never one to back down from a challenge, responded with a stern invitation, “Come here and get it,” while maintaining an unwavering stare-down with Westbrook.
