Rudy Gobert: You have to think more in FIBA games than in NBA

The FIBA World Cup concluded for France with an unexpected early exit, a bitter disappointment for the reigning Olympic runners-up.

However, this setback has provided valuable insights into the distinctions between the FIBA and NBA games, as emphasized by Rudy Gobert.

Following a classification game victory over Cote d’Ivoire, Gobert shared his perspective on the variances in playing styles. “In FIBA games, you have to think even more, look around you more,” Gobert stated, as reported by Basketnews.

“In the NBA, sometimes you don’t have to think as much because there’s more space. Here, you can’t be successful without the minimum of thinking. There are no defensive three seconds, but it’s still harder to score in the FIBA game.”
