Amid swirling trade rumors, the Knicks have reportedly not shown any interest in pursuing a trade for Timberwolves’ star center, Karl-Anthony Towns. The rumors gained traction due to the past connection between Towns and Knicks’ President, Leon Rose, during their time at CAA.

Fred Katz of The Athletic sheds light on the situation, stating that while the Knicks are known for pursuing CAA clients, there has been no indication of their interest in Towns. Instead, the Knicks are patiently waiting for the right fit to bolster their roster.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves are not keen on parting ways with their star player, setting a high price for any potential trade. Towns’ existing contract, which runs until the end of the 2027-2028 season, also adds to the complexity of any potential deal.

With Towns set to enter the final year of his contract, the Knicks’ stance on not pursuing the center could impact the landscape of the upcoming offseason.
