Warriors superstar Steph Curry had nothing but positive words for his former teammate, Donte DiVincenzo, upon learning of his move to the Knicks. Curry commended DiVincenzo’s skills and expressed his happiness for the shooting guard’s success.

“We had a good conversation last offseason when he was trying to figure out what he was going to do,” Curry revealed during the American Century Championship, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. “He proved that above and beyond with us all year. He knows how to play the game.”

DiVincenzo, who signed a 4-year, $46.8 million deal with the Knicks, showcased his value as an NBA player during his tenure with the Warriors. Despite coming off an injury, DiVincenzo displayed his winning mentality and ability to contribute to a winning team.

Last season, the 26-year-old shooting guard averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 26.3 minutes per game. Curry’s endorsement of DiVincenzo’s abilities adds to the excitement surrounding his arrival in New York and the potential impact he can make on the Knicks’ roster.
