The Phoenix Suns are guaranteeing Cam Payne’s 2023-24 season in his contract, per Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic.
From a partially unguaranteed $2MM, Payne is now set to earn a full $6.5MM in his final year.
Payne inked his three-year, $19 million deal with the Suns last 2021 offseason after a strong campaign for the franchise’s Finals appearance. He has been a trustworthy back up since then for Chris Paul.
The veteran guard appeared in 28 matches last regular season and posted averages of 10.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.2 boards.
