Jaylen Brown recently made a noncommittal comment about his future with the Celtics which started speculations whether he will remain in Boston.

The 26-year-old shooting, who became an NBA All-Star for the second time in his career this season, is set to enter the final year of contract.

According to John Granato, it is likely that the Rockets will pursue Brown in summer and could also bring in his former coach Ime Udoka to the team.

“Yesterday I got some insight in the Rockets organization… bringing in veterans, they’re going to do that…” Granato said. “You’re going to hear a lot of noise about Jaylen Brown. He wants out of Boston…

“There are guys in this rotation that are going to be bench players… They’re not satisfied. I don’t think Tilman [Fertitta] is going to be afraid of Ime Udoka. Frank Vogel is a name.

“Frank Vogel is a guy who is going to have guys accountable. Ime Udoka is going to be like that, too. Kenny Atkinson is a name. These are some names that I’m hearing out of the organization anyway. They are going to emphasize defense a hell of a lot more… They’re disgusted with this lack of ability, quite frankly.”

This season Brown is averaging 26.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 35.8 minutes per game.

Houston is currently sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with the second-worst record in the NBA.
