Luka Doncic drops 39 points as Mavericks rout Hornets

Luka Doncic showcased his brilliance with a stellar performance, leading the playoff-bound Dallas Mavericks (49-30) to a commanding victory over the struggling Charlotte Hornets (19-60).

Doncic’s 39-point triple-double guided the Mavericks to their 15th win in 17 games, securing a guaranteed playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Slovenian superstar also had 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Daniel Gafford contributed 26 points and seven rebounds, while Kyrie Irving had 18 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 15 points off the bench.

It was a tough night for former Hornet P.J. Washington, who missed all seven shots and finished the game with a single point.

Charlotte was led by Miles Bridges (22 points) and rookie BRandon Miller (21 points, 6 rebounds). Former Maverick Grant Williams added 12 points in his first visit to Dallas since the trade at the deadline.
