Keegan Murray on breaking rookie 3-point record

Kings’ rookie Keegan Murray is on pace to break the rookie three-point record which is currently held by Donovan Mitchell (187 three-pointers).

The 22-year-old small forward needs to make just 4 three-pointers over the remaining 8 regular season games to break the record.

As it turns out, Murray wasn’t even aware of that until his girlfriend told him that. “My girlfriend told me I was like 12 away sometime this week. I think today probably helped that a little bit,” he said.

“It’s crazy just because it comes all in the flow of our offense,” Murray added. “I fee like I really don’t do anything special. We have a lot of guys that know how to playmake, so I’m able to knock down shots and that’s kind of I attribute to them. Just finding me, just in the flow of our offense. Jay orchestrating the offense, things like that. So I think that’s kind of what I think of it.”

This season Murray is averaging 12 points, 4.6 rebound and 1.2 assists in 29.8 minutes per game.
