Klay Thompson, one of the NBA’s most prolific shooters, had high praise for the Sacramento Kings’ rising star, Keegan Murray.
After the Golden State Warriors secured a 122-114 victory over the Kings, Thompson lauded Murray’s potential, foreseeing a long and successful career for the young player.
Thompson emphasized Murray’s remarkable shooting skills and identified him as a player opponents can’t afford to leave open.
He also pointed out that Murray’s next step is to evolve into a complete scorer, which will further elevate his game.
“I think [Keegan Murray will] be with the Kings for a long time… He’s got star potential… He’s one you just can’t leave open, he’s a great shooter. The next step for him is [to become] a complete scorer,” Thompson said, via ClutchPoints.
In the recent matchup, Murray showcased his talent by contributing 16 points, including three three-pointers, and securing seven rebounds during his 40 minutes on the court.
Last season, the 23-year-old small forward demonstrated his scoring ability by averaging 12.2 points per game while shooting an impressive 41.1% from beyond the arc.
