Russell Westbrook is jubilating on his fresh beginnings with the Los Angeles Clippers this season.

Asked by reporters if he attained the experience he hoped for as he joined the Clips last month, Westbrook offered nothing but positive words as he is also hoping that they’ll be able to deliver a deep postseason run.

“It’s definitely been a great experience that I’m grateful for and blessed,” Westbrook said in postgame upon chipping in 24 points to help L.A. in winning Thursday’s game over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“God has put me in this position. I’m thankful and I’m just going to cherish every moment I have and hopefully we are playing at the end of June.”

Westbrook, who inked a deal with the Clippers last Feb. 22, came out initially from a pressuring environment of the Lakers. Indeed, his professionalism throughout 2022-23 has been commendable and can only be respected.

Since the acquisition of Westbrook, Clippers have gone through a needed adjustment. After a rough five-game losing stretch following the All-Star break, they managed to build a good momentum, winning six of their last eight games with the ex-star guard serving their newest flppr general.

But with Paul George sitting out with his right knee sprain, the club will certainly lean on the former MVP’s output to help them maintain their place in the Western Conference Playoff ladder as current fifth-placers.

In 13 games of play for the Clippers, Westbrook is averaging 14.1 points, 7.3 assists, 5.2 boards while shooting a career best 47.3 percent from the field.
