Devin Booker and Luka Doncic confronted each other during the final seconds of the game between the Suns and Mavericks after Doncic missed a game-tying shot.
Both players were given technical fouls and had to be separated by their teammates to avoid further escalation. Luka’s teammate Tim Hardaway Jr. said after the game that the tension between Doncic and Booker was bound to explode at some point.
“I love it,” he said. “I know 77 isn’t going to back down from anybody. We got his back. We’re just happy and excited that everyone can see that. It was bound to happen at some point them coming face-to-face. Just happy it happened here at home. It’s good for basketball I would say.”
