The New York Knicks are continuing to defy judgments as one of the emerging Eastern Conference contenders this season.

Upon Julius Randle’s heroic clutch trey from a sloppy possession, the Knicks managed to escape on the road against the Miami Heat, 120-118, extending their scorching win streak to eight.

The All-Star big man caught fire from the field, shooting 16 of his 25 shots while draining eight threes out of 13 attempts en route to a fantastic 43-point outing.

Jalen Brunson came in support of Randle, tallying 25 markers. Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett were also present at the scoring party, carving 21 and 17, respectively.

New York maintained their momentum grip over Miami’s scary comeback attempt. After being up 71-56 at the half, the Heat stormed back on a gritty rally and went on to claim the lead over the Knicks with six minutes left in the regulation, 107-106.

As such, Randle had some other plans and sent the Heat crashing further on the Eastern Conference charts, as the club now lost five out of their last seven games while being on a shaky seventh seed.

New York now matches their total wins from last season at 38 and is still in the prime position of ascending even higher in the East standings, being just one win behind the current fourth-seed Cleveland Cavaliers.
