Last season Darius Garland became an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career. The 23-year-old point guard thinks he deserves the selection this year as well.
Garland finished 9th in the All-Star voting this season. He was 10th among Eastern Conference guards in fan voting with 375,405 votes.

“I should be an All-Star,” Garland told cleveland.com Thursday morning following shootaround at Houston’s Toyota Center. “My numbers are kind of similar to last year. We’re a lot better as a team this year. We have aspirations for the playoffs and we’re in as of now. Why wouldn’t I be an All-Star?”
This season Garland is averaging 21.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 8 assists in 36 minutes per game.
