Luka Doncic explains his low All-Star Game scoring

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic addressed questions surrounding his subdued performance in NBA All-Star Games.

Despite boasting NBA’s second-best 34.2 points per game average in regular season play, Doncic’s scoring output during All-Star matchups is notably modest.

Following this year’s event, where he tallied just seven points, Doncic offered insights into his approach to All-Star Games, attributing his low scoring to the absence of defensive intensity in the exhibition setting.

“People came here playing 40 minutes, they didn’t want to get injured. Everybody just got out of the way. I didn’t know how to fix that. I just followed the lead,” Doncic remarked candidly after the game.
