Garland and Allen combine for 67 points as Cavaliers outlast Timberwolves in OT

Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen led the injury-depleted Cleveland Cavaliers (41-22) to a thrilling 113-104 overtime victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (44-20).

Garland dropped game-high 34 points along with eight assists, while Allen added career-high 33 points and 18 rebounds. Georges Niang and Caris LeVert provided support with 16 and 15 points respectively.

Despite missing key starters like Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus due to injuries, the Cavaliers managed to overcome the formidable challenge posed by the Timberwolves.

Minnesota, led by Naz Reid’s career-high 34 points and Anthony Edwards’ 19 points, fought valiantly but fell short in overtime against a resilient Cavaliers squad.

Despite a spirited effort from the Timberwolves, including Edwards’ attempt at a game-winning shot in regulation, the Cavaliers held firm to force overtime and secure the hard-fought victory.
